Three Tales of Mystery, Imagination and Suspense.
Second Chance A mysterious study in time, evoking the theme of Dunne and J.B. Priestley. A young man buys an antique 1926 Jordan car which he carefully restores in every detail, including the original license plates. On his first drive to a neighboring village he is transported 40 years back in time. It is 1926. The people, the cars and the old Bijou Theatre are all strange to him. His car is stolen and he returns to the present day. He later discovers an exactly similar car stored in a garage and learns that 40 years before, this car was involved in a near-fatal accident.
No Such Thing As A Vampire In an old mansion, some time ago, perhaps in Transylvania, lives a professor with a beautiful wife. The wife is terrified of vampires and, from the marks on her neck, it appears she has been attacked. A young doctor who is called in also sees marks on the professor’s neck. During his visit the doctor collapses and is discovered by the manservant with blood on his lips. Can the doctor be the vampire, or is it all a macabre scheme of the professor’s to avenge the jealousy he feels for his wife? A thrilling story in the tradition of “Dracula.”
Bobby A woman stays alone in a deserted beach house while her husband is on a business trip. It appears that some time ago their only son, Bobby, was accidentally drowned. During a stormy night she performs magic rituals in an effort to bring back the son. At the height of the storm there is a knock on the door. Terrified, she opens the door – and there, soaking wet, is Bobby. But is it really Bobby, and how did he drone and then return? The nerve tingling climax has to be seen. The viewer must decide whether Bobby returned or whether it was all a hallucination. One thing is certain – the television set will not be turned off before the dramatic conclusion to this night of terror.
