During wartime, Captain Hardt is ordered to take his U-boat to Northern Scotland to make contact with fellow conspirator and sink the British fleet. His contact turns out to be a beautiful school mistress who acts as a go-between with the Royal Navy traitor, Lieutenant Ashington. As the two men succumb to jealousy over her favours, their plans disintegrate.
