Set in the late 1800's, "Molokai" is the moving and epic story of Father Damien, who gave his life to bring dignity and hope to a colony of lepers on the Hawaiian island of Molokai. Faced with appalling conditions, Father Damien set about creating a community and brought a sense of moral dignity to the people who felt abandoned by family, society, and their religion.
