Mitchell joins NBC's Revolution
Former Lost & V star Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of JJ Abrams & Eric Kripke's NBC drama series Revolution, Deadline reports. Mitchell will take over the role of Rachel Matheson who was played in the pilot by Andrea Roth.
Disney to animate Marvel's Big Hero 6
Deadline reports that Disney & Marvel are in early development on an animated feature film based on Marvel's Japanese superhero team Big Hero 6. Debuting in 1998, the team originally featured former X-Man Sunfire & have since been bit players in the Marvel Universe.
Longmire renewed for 2nd season
A&E's Western-flavoured drama series Longmire starring Robert Taylor & Katee Sackhoff has been renewed for a second season, Deadline reports. The series had A&E's most-watched scripted series debut of all time & is the highest-rated new cable scripted drama of 2012.
Moyer to tie Devil's Knot
True Blood star Stephen Moyer has joined Colin Firth & Reese Witherspoon in the cast of director Atom Egoyan's new film West Memphis 3, Deadline reports. Moyer will play prosecutor John Fogelman in the film about the wrongfully convicted & imprisoned West Memphis 3.
TNT renews Dallas, Rizzoli & Isles
TNT has renewed its follow-up to the classic 80s series Dallas for a second season, Deadline reports. The network has also renewed its popular crime drama series Rizzoli & Isles for a fourth season. TNT's hit sci-fi series Falling Skies is also likely to be picked up for a third season.
Lindelof to serve up Leftovers
Lost creator Damon Lindelof is heading to HBO to serve up The Leftovers, a drama based on Tom Perrotta's 2011 novel about those people left behind after the Rapture. Lindelof & Perrotta will co-write the script & executive produce the project.
Community cast sign up for new season
Deadline reports that the entire Greendale Community College gang will be returning for the fourth season of NBC's cult comedy series Community. Series producer Sony Pictures TV picked up the options on all actors from the series, including co-star Chevy Chase.
R.I.P. Don Grady
Actor Don Grady has passed away at age 68 after a battle with cancer. The actor was best remembered as Robbie Douglas in the long-running classic sitcom My Three Sons and as one of the Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers when he was 13.
