Wright headed for World's End
Universal Pictures has officially greenlit The World's End, the 3rd film in director Edgar Wright's comedy trilogy starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost which began with 2004's Shaun of the Dead & continued with 2007's Hot Fuzz. Shooting will begin in the UK in October.
Gillan to see through Oculus
Doctor Who co-star Karen Gillan is set to play the lead in Intrepid Pictures' new horror film Oculus, Deadline reports. The plot centers on a girl who investigates an ancient cursed mirror she believes is responsible for her parent's murder.
MTV renews Teen Wolf for 3rd season
MTV has announced at Comic-Con that it has renewed its popular horror series Teen Wolf for a 3rd season. An order for 24 episodes has been placed, twice the number of the preceding seasons.

Ben Whishaw is set to be the fourth actor to play the role of MI6's gadget guru Q in the 23rd James Bond film Skyfall, Deadline reports. John Cleese last played the character in 2002's Die Another Day.

Director Chris Columbus is set to bring the classic horror comic Creepy to the big screen, Deadline reports. The film will be a four-part anthology, one of which Columbus will write & produce.
Kung Fu Panda to return for 3rd film
DreamWorks Animation has announced at Comic-Con that a third Kung Fu Panda movie is in the works. The film was one of several announcements at the convention, including a Penguins of Madagascar film.
TNT renews Falling Skies for 3rd Season
At the halfway point of its 10 episode 2nd season, the TNT network has renewed sci-fi hit Falling Skies for a 3rd season. 10 episodes have been ordered and will be aired in 2013.
NCIS cast to return for 10th season
Deadline reports that the entire cast of NCIS will be returning for the show's 10th season which begins production next week. Four of the actors' contracts had expired at the end of last season: Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette & Sean Murray have all inked new 2-year deals while David McCallum re-upped earlier this year.
