TNT renews Falling Skies for 3rd Season
At the halfway point of its 10 episode 2nd season, the TNT network has renewed sci-fi hit Falling Skies for a 3rd season. 10 episodes have been ordered and will be aired in 2013.
NCIS cast to return for 10th season
Deadline reports that the entire cast of NCIS will be returning for the show's 10th season which begins production next week. Four of the actors' contracts had expired at the end of last season: Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette & Sean Murray have all inked new 2-year deals while David McCallum re-upped earlier this year.
Crowe, Roth sink fangs into Harker
Russell Crowe is attached to star as Dracula in Warner Bros. horror thriller Harker, Deadline reports. Hostel creator Eli Roth is in talks to direct the reimagining of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale which sees Jonathan Harker as a Scotland Yard detective.

Lionsgate to make 2 part Hunger Games finale
Lionsgate are set to make a 2 part film adaptation of Mockingjay, the 3rd book in Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy, Deadline reports. Part 1 will bow worldwide on November 21, 2014 with Part 2 following on November 20, 2015.
CBS to adapt Deus Ex game
CBS Films has optioned the screen rights to Square Enix's Deus Ex game franchise, Deadline reports. The film will primarily be based on last year's Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which follows ex-SWAT security specialist Adam Jensen who must embrace mechanical augments in order to unravel a global conspiracy.
Hopkins joins Aronofsky's Noah
Director Darren Aronofsky has tweeted that veteran actor Sir Anthony Hopkins has joined Russell Crowe, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson & more in the cast of the biblical epic Noah. Hopkins will play Methusaleh in the film.

Venus in Fur stage actress Nina Arianda is set to make her film debut as 1960's rock icon Janis Joplin in a new biopic, Deadline reports. Martha Marcy May Marlene director Sean Durkin will helm the project which will look at the last 6 months of Joplin's life with flashbacks to her early career.
