Sony to revisit Jumanji
Sony Pictures is set to reboot its family adventure property Jumanji, Variety reports. Joe Johnston directed the original feature based on Chris Van Allsburg's book about a magic board game. The new film, which will be produced by Amazing Spider-Man producer Matt Tolmach, will update the premise for contemporary times.

Laura Harrington is adapting Sam Osman's fantasy adventure novel Quicksilver for Gold Circle Films, Variety reports. The story centres on 3 children who must face their prophesied destiny to fulfil an ancient prophecy & find a treasure of incalculable power.
New X-Men film set in Days of Future Past
Producer Bryan Singer has told IGN that the sequel to X-Men: First Class will be titled X-Men: Days of Future Past and will deal with aspects from the popular story from the X-Men comics in 1981 by Chris Claremont & John Byrne that introduced a bleak future timeline for Marvel's mutant heroes.
