Iron Man 3 opens big in US

Marvel's Iron Man 3 rocketed in to eighth spot on the all-time opening day record list with a haul of US$48.31 million late last week in the US. Over the weekend it took in US$175.3 million giving it the 2nd-highest opening weekend of all time behind only the Avengers. So far, the film has taken US$680 million at the global box office.

Men in Black to return for 4th outing

With the third Men in Black film taking in a franchise-best US$624 million worldwide, a fourth film seemed inevitable. Now THR is reporting that Sony Pictures has hired Mortal Kombat: Rebirth writer Oren Uziel to pen a first draft for a fourth Men in Black film.

Evans flies in for Crow reboot

Welsh actor Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6) will play the titular role in the F. Javier Gutierrez-directed reboot of The Crow, Deadline reports. The production start has been pushed back to early next year to accommodate Evans' current busy schedule.
