del Toro gets animated for Day of the Dead

Guillermo del Toro is set to produce the Mexican CGI animated feature Day of the Dead, says The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision. El Tigre creator Jorge R. Gutierrez is helming the film which is described as a Romeo & Juliet love story set against the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead.

Deadline reports that Josh Duhamel & Dan Fogler will star in Kevin & Michael Goetz's Scenic Route about two college students who go on a road trip & get stranded in the desert which leads to them fighting both emotionally & physically.

CW targets Donnell for Arrow

Pan Am's Colin Donnell has been cast in the CW's superhero drama pilot Arrow, Deadline reports. In this modern retelling of the DC Comics character Green Arrow, Donnell will play Tommy Merlyn, the titular hero's best friend.
