    A&E holsters Longmire after 3 seasons

    D35e611a0eeab5f351d782696849128c40ab8eba In a surprise move, US cable network A&E has opted not to renew Longmire for a fourth season. The series, starring Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff, was A&E's most-watched original drama of all time. Longmire's production studio Warner Horizon are shopping the series around to other networks.

    Greatest American Hero set to fly again

    C9a7062e317d73b1c2caf0b3aca05dace9416c0b The 80s cult classic series The Greatest American Hero is set to get a reboot at Fox from 21 Jump Street reboot directing duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Lord and Miller will executive produce the hour-long action comedy's pilot alongside original series creator Stephen J. Cannell's daughter, TV director Tawnia McKiernan. 22 Jump Street writer Rodney Rothman will pen the pilot script which will feature a new lead hero named Isaac who finds an alien supersuit and learns to use it through trial and error.

    2014 Emmy Awards wrap-up

    8cd6453acb613002f57e98f4c08c14089cf2cd54 Breaking Bad was the big winner at the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards this week, taking every key category in which it was nominated. As well as winning Best Drama Series, star Bryan Cranston won Best Lead Drama Actor while Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul took out the Best Supporting Drama awards. Julianna Margulies was named Best Lead Drama Actress for The Good Wife. On the Comedy front, Modern Family continued its Emmy success being named Best Comedy Series while Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) were again named Best Comedy Leads.
