Marking Miller's first collaboration with watercolor artist Lynn Varley (Ronin, The Dark Knight Returns) in over a decade, 300 was a gritty reimagining of a battle in which three hundred Spartan soldiers fought to hold back the entire Persian army. The series won three Eisner Awards, including Best Limited Series, Best Writer/Artist (Miller), and Best Colorist (Varley).
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City), 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
