The saga of the loves and lusts of the fierce Norse raiders who pillaged Britain over a thousand years ago, The Vikings is set in an era rife with bloody raids, gory sword battles and gruesome acts of violence and vengeance. Leading an all-star cast are Kirk Douglas as Einar, hot-blooded son of the Viking chieftain Ragnar (Ernest Borgnine); Janet Leigh as the lovely Welsh princess Morgana, beloved of Einar; and Tony Curtis as the proud Eric, who, although a slave, possesses a secret so terrible it could ruin two kingdoms!
Filmed against the magnificent panoramas of the Norwegian fjords and the rugged French coast by master cinematographer Jack Cardiff, each scene proves to be (in true Viking tradition) breathtakingly beautiful and bloody.
