Description
Marlo Thomas (daughter of comedy legend Danny Thomas) stars as Ann Marie, a struggling actress who moves from her small home town to New York City in the classic 60's sitcom. In-between trying to find acting & modelling work, she takes on odd jobs, often the springboard to the many comical situations witnessed by her boyfriend - journalist Donald Hollinger (Ted Bessell).
Originally screening from 1966 for 5 years, the award-winning THAT GIRL was a ground-breaking sitcom which forever changed the manner in which women were portrayed on TV with its premise of an independent female character making it on her own, influencing the development of many future series from The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Murphy Brown.
