Description
Anywhere But Here:
Adele is a flashy, flirtatious dreamer. Her daughter Ann is a quiet, no-nonsense realist. On the surface, they're two of a kind. "Susan is show-stopping" (The New York Times) and "Natalie Portman soars" (NY-1) in this funny and touching story about a mother who knows best...and a daughter who knows better!
The Banger Sisters:
Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon head up a stellar cast in this coming-of-middle-age comedy about a pair of former groupies who together rocked the worlds of every late great 60's music legend with a guitar and a Y chromosome! Now, over two decades later, Suzette (Hawn) is still her brassy, carefree, sexy self while Lavinia (Sarandon) has matured into a prim, proper suburban wife and mother. When their two worlds collide, the ensuing fireworks are enough to light up a major rock concert. Geoffrey Rush co-stars as an eccentric, love-starved screenwriter with a secret. The Banger Sisters is a laugh-filled, sweetly nostalgic tale that proves you're never too old to be young.
Dead Man Walking:
Sister Helen Prejean (Sarandon), a compassionate New Orleans nun, is the spiritual advisor to Mathew Poncelet (Penn), a vicious, angry and complex murderer awaiting execution. Her dedication is to help others, like Mathew, find salvation. But as she attempt to navigate Mathew's dark soul, she encounters a depth of evil that makes her question how far redemption can really go. Can she stave off the fateful day of execution long enough to save Mathew, or will she discover a truth that will rock the very foundations by which she lives?
Thelma & Louise:
Somebody said get a life. So they did. Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis turn in Oscar nominated performances as best friends on a desperate flight across the American Southwest after a tragic incident at a roadside bar. With a determined detective (Harvey Keitel) on their trail, a sweet-talking hitchhiker (Brad Pitt) in their path and a string of crimes in their wake, their journey alternates between a hilarious, high-octaine joy ride and an empowering personal odyssey... even as the law closes in.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show:
"It was great when it all began..." Celebrate 25 years of midnight movie madness! The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an erotic nightmare beyond any measure. Relive Richard O'Brien's sinfully twisted salute to horror, sci-fi, B-movies and rock music - A sensual daydream to treasure forever - starring Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick, and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon. Do the "Time Warp" and sing "Hot Patootie" with Meatloaf again...and again...and again...at home or in a movie theater, where it will probably be playing for another 25 years!
Bull Durham:
Baseball season gets off to a rocky start when the Durham Bulls new catcher, "Crash" Davis (Kevin Costner), punches out the cocky young pitcher, "Nuke" Laloosh (Tim Robbins), he's just been hired to train. Then sexy Annie Savoy (Susan Sarandon) informs both men that each season she chooses one player to share her bed - and Nuke and Crash are this year's draft picks. After Crash passes on the offer, Nuke eagerly enlists as Annie's summer fling... until Crash's jealousy takes over and he convinces Nuke that sex with Annie will jinx the Bulls newfound winning streak. Costner strikes sparks and Sarandon gives one of the juiciest performances in all of American comedy in this treasure of a movie about America's other favorite pastime!
