Description

Ronin:
The Cold War may be over, but a new world order keeps a group of covert mercenaries employed by the highest bidder. These operatives, known as "Ronin," are assembled in France by a mysterious client for a seemingly routine mission: steal a top-secret briefcase. But the simple task soon proves explosive as other underworld organizations vie for the same prize?and to get the job done, the members of Ronin must do something they've never done before - trust each other!

Raging Bull:
Loosely based on the life and career of boxer Jake LaMotta, Raging Bull focuses on Jake's rage and violence that makes him virtually unstoppable in the ring. The same anger also drives Jake to beat his wife and his brother Joey, and sends Jake down a self-destructive spiral of paranoia and rage.

Men of Honour:
One of those rare films that grabs you by the gut and never lets you go, Men of Honour was inspired by the life of Carl Brashear (played by Academy Award® winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr.), a man who fought all odds to become a US Navy Master Diver. Academy Award® winning actor, Robert DeNiro, plays Carl’s training officer, Billy Sunday, who wants no part of Carl or his ambitions. He drives Carl beyond the levels of any normal endurance in an attempt to make him falter and quit. Yet Carl never gives up and over time, the two men establish a respect that will ultimately see them battling alongside each other as they must fight to protect their honour and their lives.

Hide And Seek:
Robert De Niro is David Callaway and Dakota Fanning is his nine-year old daughter, Emily. Both are trying to recover from the recent death of their wife/mother, but Emily has begun to deal with the trauma in her own special way – she has invented an imaginary friend named Charlie. Nothing unusual about that – until “Charlie” starts to become all too real and Emily begins to do some bizarre and frightening things…

The King of Comedy:
In Martin Scorsese's masterful black comedy, Robert De Niro plays Rupert Pupkin (his motto: "Better to be king for a night than a schmuck for a lifetime"), a wannabe comic who will go to any lengths to further his career. A joke writer who has never performed anywhere except his mother’s basement, Rupert dreams of appearing on the ‘The Jerry Langford Show’ hosted by the king of late night talk shows, Jerry Langford (Jerry Lewis). After relentlessly hounding both Jerry and the show’s talent bookers to no avail, he kidnaps the talk show host with the help of his accomplice Masha (Sandra Bernhard) who herself is infatuated with Jerry. Together they hold him hostage in exchange for Pupkin being given a guest spot on the show.

Stanley & Iris:
He's a shy, illiterate short-order cook who's never taken a chance at love. She's a newly widowed factory worker who's vowed to never love again. But as their friendship slowly blossoms and Iris helps Stanley learn to read, his strong yet gentle kindness helps mend her broken heart. And where once two lonely strangers stood trapped within the past, Stanley and Iris can now begin a new chapter of their lives – together.
