Description
Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) and Marty Hopkirk (Kenneth Cope) are partners in Randall & Hopkirk Investigations, but they’re the most unusual team in the business. Jeff is the down-on-his luck private eye, a tough yet honest man who achieves the impossible thanks to his improbable partner. Marty is the earth-bound ghost, murdered during a case for learning too much, but only one living person can see him – his partner Jeff.
He can watch without being seen, transplant himself from one place to another at will & scare the living daylights out of villains. Despite these powers though, he is still very human. He brings awkward situations upon his partner Jeff and is, at times, a bit of a coward. He is invisible to his widow Jean (Annette Andre), but watches over her displaying jealousy whenever she shows signs of romantic interest in his living partner. But Jeff has other troubles, especially when people witness him seemingly talking to himself!
Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) was a unique entry in 1960’s television. Made by ITC (The Prisoner, The Saint), the series has achieved remarkable cult status since originally broadcast with its unusual blend of suspense packed situations and captivating comedy. The chemistry between the cast was a winning formula and despite the fantastic premise, the fact that our ghost shows signs of insecurity and often forgets his spectral powers makes the situation all the more believable – he’s hardly the perfect partner!
Umbrella Entertainment presents the entire series of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), all 26 episodes complete, uncut and digitally remastered.
