Monaro. It’s the original Holden performance car, the first Holden V8, the first Holden Bathurst winner and the first Holden to win the Australian Touring Car Championship.
And that first HK model Monaro GTS 327 was also the car that lit the fuse to ignite the now famous Holden-vs-Ford war that has been such a defining factor in Australian Motorsport for the past three decades.
This DVD celebrates this iconic Holden, featuring the Bathurst wins of 1968 and ’69, a documentary on Norm Beechey’s 1970 ATCC championship win, selected Warwick Farm races from 1968 to ’70, the two Bathurst 24 Hour wins for the modern Monaro, coverage from the Australian Muscle Car Masters and even some classic old Monaro TV commercials.
