Description
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's stunning directorial debut. The Lives of Others is both an intense human drama and a political thriller, which examines life under the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). Set in East Germany in 1984, Georg Dreyman (Sebastian Koch), one of the country's most popular and loyal playwrights comes to be targeted by the Stasi precisely because he has neither said nor written anything suspicious.
