Follow the adventures of Piggley Winks, a spunky eight-year-old pig, and his friends Dannan the Duck and Ferny the Bull on Ranloo Farm in Ireland. Whether they’re fishing for the salmon of knowledge, trying to turn donkeys into race horses, or finagling to get out of doing chores, Piggley, Dannan and Ferny always find a way to turn the familiar into the utterly fantastic. While the intrepid trio are enjoying their escapades - “Jakers!” is their often used Irish expression of delight and amazement. The opening and closing of each story features Piggley Winks as a granddad, telling these tales of childhood shenanigans as entertaining lessons in life to his three very contemporary, rambunctious city-dwelling grandpigs.
