Incompleat Shaun Micallef, The (2 Disc Set)

In 1994, Adelaide lawyer Shaun Micallef joined the team of popular comedy show Full Frontal as a sketch writer. He was paid a pittance for his scripts, and decided to supplement his income by appearing as a bit player in the series. Shaun soon realised the only way he could make a living was to join the regular Full Frontal cast full-time. He did this in 1995 and very shortly became one of the most popular castmembers.

Shaun’s fertile imagination gave birth to a host of brand new characters, including the spectacularly inept TV personality Dave McGahan. After leaving the series in 1997, Shaun co-wrote and produced a one-hour TV special called Shaun Micallef’s World Around Him. It was universally praised and nominated for an industry Logie which it very nearly won. Shaun’s rise to mega-stardom has been meteoric, which is remarkable, especially when one considers that meteors tend to fall down and not up.

Here on this magnificent DVD are gathered some of Shaun’s finest moments from the Full Frontal series, along with the rarely seen and very nearly Logie-winning special, Shaun Micallef’s World Around Him.
