Syd Jarrett (Marc Blucas) is an unsuspecting, down-and-out man in a washed-up hick town, whose life is turned upside down when the drop-dead gorgeous Nora (Nicki Aycox) walks through the door of his best friend Jules’ roadhouse blues bar. Of all the men in the bar, Nora picks Jarrett, and together they share a lost weekend of primal passion. But Jarrett doesn’t realise that Nora is actually a shape-shifting creature running from her lover Vic (Naveen Andrews), himself a renegade predator lurking amidst the human herds.

Jarrett’s hunger for Nora leads him to a face to face confrontation with Vic, which Jarrett barely survives, and which kills his friend Jules. But now Jarrett finds his animal nature coming out and he doesn’t know how to control it, as he realises his best chance for happiness, and survival, lies in his true love for Jane (Eva Amurri). Too bad for Jarrett and Jane that Nora and Vic are coming back to settle an age-old battle of bloodlines, once and for all.
